Family Friendly Event

summer holidays, celebration, children and people concept - famiSurrey Night Market, the only multicultural night market in the Fraser Valley, is an open air summer night market for everyone in Metro-Vancouver, Fraser Valley and beyond. This family friendly event provides an opportunity to taste a wide variety of ethnic foods in one place, benefit from services and goods, and enjoy performances by local bands, singers, and dancers. The event features numerous rides and games for children and youth, and multiple door prizes for attendees.

When & Where

3 Surrey Night Market is located across from the Agriplex Complex, within the Cloverdale Exhibition Grounds at 17726 62 Avenue, Surrey, BC. It operates between June 3rd - August 15th 2016: on Fridays and Saturdays  at 6:00-11:00 pm, and on Sundays at5:00-1:00 pm.

Free Parking

The Cloverdale Exhibition Grounds have sufficient onsite parking spots to handle hundreds of cars at any time. Parking is FREE for “Night Market” attendees, with an excess of 1000 free parking stalls available. However, NO PARKING PERMITTED at the the following locations:  Cloverdale Recreation Centre, Fraser Downs Raceway, or in front of  AGRIPLEX.  Cars will get towed from those locations.

Pets are OK (on leash or in carrier)dog umbrella

Bring your furry or feathery friends, as long as they are on a leash or in a carrier - to ensure all market attendees are feeling safe and comfortable. Actually we organize mini pet shows on select Fridays, and on such days we will also try to have a Vet onsite for mini-consultations.  Local pet rescue organizations will occasionally sowcase pets looking for homes, while raising funds for their rescues. pet banner

Attendance and Accessibility

Surrey Night Market is receives thousands of visitors each night from all parts of the Lower Mainland. The facility is wheelchair accessible. Entry is $2 for adults,and $1 for children ages 3-10.

The following patrons receive free entry into the night market.

  • Families of all Canadian Forces personnel and Veteran
  • Children less than 48" in height when accompanied by their families
  • Residents of long-term care and assisted living facilities when coming as a group
  • Wheelchair borne persons and their attendants
  • Seniors over 65 years with proper ID
  • On designated weekends, anyone bringing a non-perishable food item or a new toy will be allowed free access. and all collected items will be donated to the local food banks or charities.

Security and First Aid

Utmost care is taken to make the “Night Market” a very safe and secure event for families. Security professionals provide both static and mobile patrols at the venue during the event days. No drugs or smoking are allowed at the venue at any time. First Aid is on site and staffed by trained professionals.

Food Vendors

Our goal is to give our visitors to taste Western, Chinese, Nepalese, Mediterranean, Philippines, Vietnamese, Fijian, African, Pakistani, Japanese, Mexican, Italian, Latin American, Korean, First Nations, Greek, and Indian cuisines - all in one place. This may include: Burgers, Hotdogs, Sandwiches, Soups, Fish & Chips, Salads, Wraps, Poutine, Fries, Chicken Tikkas & Pakoras, Veg Pakoras, Fish Pakoras, BBQ, Ribs, Samosas, Curries, Sweets, Jalebies, Chaat, Alloo Tikki, Gol Gappe, Ice Cream, Frozen Yogurt, Waffles, Kulfi, Puri, Kulche, Dosse, Idli, Sambar, Uttapam, Tea, Lassi, Pop Corn, Mini-Donuts, Baked goods, Coffee, Smoothies, Lemonade, Fresh Juice, Fresh Fruit and Produce, and others.

Food Trucks and Food Carts


Aside from our regular food vendors we also have Food Trucks & Food Carts at Surrey Night Market. Some food trucks participate for the whole season, while others only on select dates. Our goal is to have something new for our visitors every weekend, and we increase the number of food truck vendors as the market attendance grows.

4Surrey Night Market has various merchandise vendors, thereby providing an opportunity to local artisans, craftsmen and other small businesses. For Example - Pedicure, Manicure, Cosmetics, Artificial Jewelry; Garments, Clothing, Shoes, Handbags, Toys; Home Hardware, Handicrafts, Decorations; Massage Booth, Psychic Advisor; Mobile Phones, Plans and Accessories; Internet & Cable Plans offered by Rogers, Telus, Shaw, Bell; Insurance and RESP providers; and Professional Services.

Stage Performances


Surrey Night Market is showcasing a variety of local talent in performing arts and is creating an environment that promotes both community spirit and inclusion across the board. A performance stage is set up at the event for local talent. Every night, local bands, singers, and dancers have an opportunity to perform on the stage for free, after securing their time slot with our stage coordinator. There is no charge for performing at the event. There are also opportunities to book the stage for paid events such as Fashion Shows, Displays and Product Demonstrations.

Door Prizes & Car Draw


Surrey Night Market has invited local businesses to display their banners at the venue, in order to provide various sponsorship packages to our stage performers, as well as significant value door prizes for our attendees. Our grand prize this year is a car, and anyone who attends the market can enter the draw each time they attend.

Rides and Games

Surrey Night Market has numerous games and rides for children and youth, including: space ball, bumper cars, arcade games, train rides, obstacle ride, bunny petting, balloon twisting, face painting, bouncy castles, and much more. Movie Characters - Cost Artists     StarWars-HungerGames

This year we have a movie character theme, with specific focus on Star Wars and Hunger Games. We encourage our attendees to wear their Star Wars and Hunger Games costumes at the market on Saturdays, when we also organize costume competitions. Dressed up attendees can also share a moment of fame by allowing other attendees to take pictures with them. Cost artists who want to be part of the competition have to sign up by sending an email to with a picture and description of their costumes, as well as desired dates. Our stage coordinator enters them in the competition for their desired Saturday(s). The winner of each Saturday is featured on Surrey Night Market's  website, for years to come.

Wellness Hour (Fridays & Saturdays 6:00-7:00 pm)

Exit the hunger games pieThis year we have a health coaching company organizing daily wellness programs and shows that provide valuable education for healthy living.

The Wellness Hour will occasionally have Naturopaths, Homeopaths and other proessionals on site. They will provide mini-consultation-sessions to anyone interested.  Local professionals will also provide presentations & demo's, and will showcase local natural resources, services and products that enhance health without causing side effects.

On Fridays we have Kids' Nutrition - Explained to Kids. Bring your children, grandchildren, or even your neighbour's children and teens. They learn in fun and very visual ways about sugar limits, good and bad fat, as well as chemicals in processed foods.

On Saturdays we provide various expert discussions on Natural Health for Proper Weight Management.

Spiritual Hour (Sundays 6:00-7:00 pm)

worship teamTo sum up our holistic approach, we have a spiritual program, which includes singing, talks, prayer, etc.

The spiritual hour and the Prayer Tent (below) will occasionally raise funds for Surrey's school meal programs.  These programs feed children and teens from low income families while at school,  thus enhancing their ability to learn and develop healthy social relationships.

People often request prayer for their health, current or upcoming challenges, breakthroughs in life, Sometimes they just express their gratitude for what they have and for already answered prayers.

Community and Social Perspective

Surrey Night Market has a strong community and social perspective with some tents set aside for non-profit organizations and charities. In addition, anyone bringing a non-perishable food item or a new toy (on specially designated weekends) will be allowed to get in for free, and all the collected items will be donated to the local food banks or charities.
